English colonists where the first to build these steep gabled homes, mimicking their homes back in England. Through the years, they were re-styled to weather the stormy Nor’Eastern weather – little pun intended . This is how those famous shutters and the steep pitched roof became a large part of the Cape Cod style home.

From these original designs, the term “Cape Cod” style home was invented. At Fox’s Country Sheds & Structures, we have now invented our own “Fox’s Cape Cod” shed! We’re proud to introduce our newest baby…

When my kids were little, we had one of those metal swing sets that we probably got at Kmart.  It was never

heavy enough to anchor quite properly, and if the kids swung too high one end would lift up and down, causing me to fear the worst.  The slide was metal, so when it was hot and sunny out the kids couldn’t use it without burning their little behinds.  Worst of all, it was prone to rusting, so it wasn’t very safe either!

Then, wooden swingset play yard became all the rage, but splinters aren’t too welcome during a little kid’s playfest.  Yes, the “forts” were fun, but not if you got splinters on your fingers and knees and you climbed up the ladder.

Then, some genius discovered that you can take heavy duty vinyl and wrap it around solid 4 x 4 and 2 x 6 lumber, and voila!  The result was the birth of the vinyl swingset!

Look ‘ma!  No more splinters!

Actually, it’s BAYBERRY ~ and it’s the newest shade that we carry in stock for customizing your new shed, potting shed or garage.  It’s such a pretty, soothing color, and I can honestly admit that so far we haven’t had any “garage” orders for it.  Garages are typically a guy-thing, and they tend to like them as neutral (brown-ish/beigh-ish) as possible.  But, oh, this BAYBERRY color is getting to be popular with the lovely garden storage sheds that we’ve been building and delivering throughout Lancaster County Pennsyvania!

The Bayberry color of vinyl siding that we offer is sort of a “sage green” color ~ lovely for a unique potting shed or even just any typical backyard shed.  It’s a very “in” color for the exterior of homes, as well, and we are happy to accommodate our buyers and offer this vinyl shed to match their homes.
