Many customers don’t realize that buying a shed does not need to happen only in the springtime! Speaking with the wife of a new customer today, she told me that she thought her husband was going to wait until the spring to order his shed. “Well, why wait!” was my response!
We are open and building sheds all year round – Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall – so why wait until any potential seasonal increases in price or waiting time? You see, when there is a sudden boom of orders (usually in the Spring), raw material suppliers sometimes have a hard time of keeping up with our orders – lumber, vinyl siding, roofing shingles – and what happens is they increase their prices due to a shortage. Supply and Demand. We are not the only ones ordering these supplies – springtime means new home building as well, and even though the housing industry has slowed, historically the raw material prices tend to increase come spring. We hate to do it, but many times we have to then pass along that increase onto our prices, as well.
If you are thinking about buying a shed in the spring, consider placing your order now. You can take delivery of it whenever you are ready, whether it is sooner rather than later. Take your time selecting your colors and size/style of shed – you have many shed options to choose from. And, know that once your yard thaws a bit, you can get started on organizing your new shed and planning on how you will use up all that clear space in your garage.
